  • No way! One of the biggest misconceptions about our studio is that new clients often think we offer a spray tan booth..but this is NOT a spray tan booth!

An actual person AKA the spray tan artist will be spray tanning you by hand using a compressed airbrush gun and a customized solution mixed just for you.

This allows the artist to manually spray the unique shape of your body, shade and contour certain areas, blend the hands and feet naturally, and customize the tan to each specific client. Think of it like going to get your car detailed versus just driving through a car wash!

  • Females over the age of 18 may undress as much or as little as they are comfortable with.

Some clients wear a swimsuit or bra and undies, some wear just a thong, and others who prefer no tan lines will go fully nude.

The most popular option is wearing just a thong as most clients like to see the contrast of the "before and after"! Do not wear jewelry to the appointment -please remove it before you arrive.

Whatever you choose, remember that this is a judgement free zone!

We see naked bodies every day in the studio and we're only looking at your skin as a canvas, we are here to make you feel GOOD and CONFIDENT.

No body shaming yourself or apologizing for stretch marks, unshaved body parts, cellulite, unpainted nails, or anything else that is NORMAL :) !

Males and anyone under 18 must wear bottoms; females under 18 must wear top and bottoms.

  • No, we ran out of that colour yesterday... just kidding! In 3 years of spray tanning, we have NEVER had any client complain that they are orange. We invest in only the highest grade of spray tan solutions on the market and we test all solutions on ourselves before deciding if we should offer it to our clients. The perks of going to a qualified spray tan artist is that they can customize the mix of solution based on your skin type, skin history, skin tone, and desired tan.

Most automatic spray tan booths and spray tan artists will only offer a "one size fits all" spray tan solution or sometimes the same 2-3 solutions ("light, medium, or dark") for everyone.. here at LoLo Luxury Spray Tans, we understand that everyone has different skin and that a one-size-fits-all solution won't work for everyone. This is why we're totally unbiased and carry a wide range of brands, bronzer colours, and tan depths to ensure every client gets the BEST option for their DREAM TAN GOALS!

  • The active ingredient in all sunless tanning products is called DHA which is short for dihydroxyacetone. The actual colour you see being applied to your skin at the appointment is NOT the final result as many people think it is -that is only a cosmetic bronzer which acts as a colour guide for the spray tan artist to see where they've sprayed you and so that you have the instant satisfaction of a tan. However, there are CLEAR spray tan solutions that contain DHA and will still leave you with a tan when the development fully takes place 24-48 hours after the appointment.

The DHA reacts with the amino acids in the top layer of dead skin cells on your skin...this reaction changes the colour of the dead skin cells creating a look that simulates a tan. Once the dead skin cells fall off as they naturally do, this is when the tan starts to fade (hence why we tell everyone to exfoliate the day before a tan so we have the "freshest" and newest layer of dead skin to work with). Once the bronzer is rinsed off and the real result starts to come through, the tan will become much more blended and smooth than it was while the cosmetic bronzer was on your skin.

  • Of course! Not all spray tans need to be dark and obvious. Sometimes the best spray tan, is the one that looks natural and almost goes undetected. If you prefer a tan that looks like you just spent a weekend at the cottage and got a subtle glow, rather than an entire month on a tropical island, just let your spray tan artist know. We always start each appointment with a consultation to go over the tan result you want to achieve so we can customize it just for you.

  • Our cancellation policy: if necessary, please cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 48 hours prior to the appointment time. Any cancellations within the 48 hour period will be subject to our cancellation fee which is 100% of the service booked. If a client does not show up or is more than 10 minutes late, the 100% cancellation fee will apply.

Refund policy: we have a very strict no refund policy due to the nature of spray tans. 50% of the final spray tan result comes from the work of the artist and the other 50% depends on the clients own unique skin. We highly recommend following our prep & aftercare instructions to help prevent any mishaps. However, even if a client follows the exact prep instructions, there are several factors that can affect a spray tan which are 100% out of our control (clients skin pH levels, client’s hormones, client’s products they’ve used on their skin recently, client’s diet, when a client sweats, and several others). In the rare case that the tan doesn’t turn out perfect, we will do our best to help rectify the issue and troubleshoot the problem to the best of our ability. Since we are fully transparent about how spray tans work and that some of the final result is not in our control, we do not offer refunds. Depending on the situation, we may offer some type of store credit or discount towards a future appointment if we deem it appropriate.

  • Anytime between 1-3 days prior to the event is good timing, however, 2 days prior is the best. Ex: if your wedding is on Saturday, book the tan on Thursday. Be sure to read our Prep & Aftercare page to see when your other appointments should be booked around your tan (nails, lashes, waxing etc).

  • A spray tan will not affect the way your skin is affected by UV rays. This means that if you normally tan in the sun, you still can! This also means you can still burn as well. We recommend wearing SPF at all times. Please read our Prep & Aftercare page to read how sunburn affects spray tans. If you have had a recent sun burn or sun damage at all, it is NOT a good idea to get a spray tan.

  • Absolutely! A LARGE majority of our daily appointments are clients who are about to go on a vacation and want to have a tan before they get there. This way, you can arrive at your destination already glowing and bronze! You’ll feel so much more confident in your cute vacation outfits, swimsuits, dresses, etc. Plus, you don’t have to worry about laying out in the sun and getting burnt or getting strange & uneven tanlines. It is SUPER common to get a spray tan before a trip!

  • When you get a spray tan, the cosmetic bronzer that will be applied to your skin at the appointment will rinse off after you shower. Before the first shower, it can rub off which is why we recommend wearing loose & dark clothing to your appointment. The first shower you have after the appointment will only be a rinse with water (no soap or any other products) to stop the tan development from getting darker. Occasionally, there can be a bit of bronzer on the skin after the first rinse. Typically the bronzer will come off completely after you have your first normal shower with body wash/soap. This is why we recommend brides come 2 days prior to their wedding day to ensure they’ve had a “normal” shower with body wash so all the bronzer comes off the skin before putting their dress on. If you want to feel extra confident about this, our favourite hack is to use baby powder or translucent makeup setting powder in the areas that you’re worried about transfer (I.E under the arms or anywhere else you’re concerned about). We’ve had great success with our brides who come 2 days prior to the wedding and use the powder trick!

  • Our spray tans are safe for pregnant women and we regularly tan clients for their maternity shoots and baby showers. All of our spray tan solutions are free of harsh chemicals, paraben free, vegan, gluten free, and nut free. Since every pregnancy experience is unique, it is always recommended to check with your doctor before booking a spray tan.

  • Absolutely! This is one of the most popular reasons people get spray tans. Getting a base tan from a UV tanning bed is a thing of the past; why damage your skin and waste time with several UV tanning appointments to get to your final result? You can come to our spray tan studio just one time and get your desired result instantly. You’ll arrive to your vacation destination looking like you were already laying in the sun! Except you won’t have tan lines (unless you want them) and the tan will be even and smooth. We always feel more confident in our vacation outfits and swimsuits when we have a tan!

OUR TRENDING TANS

SPRAY TANS DON’T BEGIN & END AT OUR DOORS

The end spray tan result is based on 50% of the artist's work and 50% on the client's preparation and aftercare of the tan. We can give you the best spray tan using the best products and technique, but without the right prep/aftercare it won't turn out as flawless as we want it to!
